Install WebF1 DataPad

DataPad ships as a desktop application for Linux and Windows, with macOS planned.

Linux

Three packages cover the common distributions.

• DEB: install with sudo apt install ./datapad_0.1.0_amd64.deb, or open the file with your software centre.
• RPM: install with sudo dnf install ./datapad-0.1.0.x86_64.rpm, or open the file with your software centre.
• AppImage: make the file executable with chmod +x DataPad-0.1.0.AppImage and run it directly. No installation is required.

The DEB and RPM packages register .wf1dp script files so a double-click opens them in DataPad.

Windows

Download the NSIS installer and run it. The installer carries Microsoft’s WebView2 bootstrapper, so the WebView2 runtime is installed if it is not already present.

macOS

A DMG build is planned. The download page will list it once it is ready; until then the macOS entry reads Coming soon.

Update

Reinstall the newer package over the old one. Scripts, connections and settings live in the app data folder and are preserved across an upgrade.
